Disney's Fantasia/2000: The Production

Disney's Fantasia/2000 comprises of eight different segments, combinating classical music with the art of Disney Feature Animation. Two of the segments in Fantasia/2000 fully use a combination of 3-D computer animation and traditional cel animation. One of the segments was hand drawn using pastels for a rich vibrant color. Another uses hand drawn animation, but the character animation and background were painted using basic watercolors. The other three segments were drawn and completed using the same techniques that have been used since the very beginning of Disney Animation. Disney is also beginning back one of the original segments that was seen in "Fantasia". "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" has been fully restored with sharper images and colors. All the music for Disney's Fantasia/2000 was performed by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra conducted by James Levine of the Metropolitan Opera. Over 1,200 artists were used to produce Disney's Fantasia/2000, no more than 250 artists were used per segment.
