This was the first Walt Disney attended to combine animation and live-action actors since the 1920's "Alice Comedies".

The motion picture was nominated for two Academy Awards - Best Sound (C. O. Slyfield) and Best Scoring of a Muscial Picture (Edward H. Plumb, Paul J. Smith, and Charles Wolcott.)
